But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Domestic Violence & A Higher Power

Domestic Violence & A Higher Power > Domestic Violence Facts

There is a passage of scripture from which all of us should derive strength and courage and it is the one that appears at the top of the page.

The entire Psalm 91 reads:

Do you believe in angels?
No matter what your religious beliefs are, we all must know that there is a Higher Power.
If you have given birth to a child or even witnessed this miraculous event, you must believe that Someone is watching over us.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Hebrews 11:1

Noone here will try to force any particular religious belief upon you, but we do want you to know that there was One who loved all of us enough to give His life for us.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16

Sometimes in our lives everything just seems perfect, nothing can go wrong. At other times, it seems that everything we do is a struggle.

Could it be that on those "good days" God is carrying us and on the "very bad days", He put us down just to see what we could do on our own?

Do you believe in prayer and that all prayers are answered?

I truly believe that all prayers are answered, but what some people don't understand is - sometimes the answer is "No".

What does the Bible say about domestic violence?

"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;"
Ephesians 5:25

"So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself."
Ephesians 5:28

"Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them."
Colossians 3:19

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
2 Timothy 1:7

No one deserves to suffer the phychological, the emotional, or the physical pain at the hands of someone who is supposed to love them. It is not your fault, it is not your duty to try and change him and it is not your responsibility to stay in a violent environment.

God placed in all of us special talents and abilities which are unique to any other person on earth. Some of us spend our entire lives trying to understand what those talents and abilities are and sadly, some of us never find the answer. So use your talents and abilities to make a change and in so doing, help those around you.

Any of the professional organizations in the state of Tennessee will help you in making a change in your life and if you let Him, God will help you with the rest.

"We love him, because he first loved us."
1 John 4:19
