Is your computer safe?

Places you have visited on the internet can be viewed by others, with little technical knowledge.

If you feel the computer you are using is being watched by someone, please go to a place where you will be safe.  Most libraries have computers for public use.

You may also want to go to a friend's house.

TO ALL BUSINESS OWNERS -
Hopefully, by now all business owners realize just what a significant impact domestic violence has in the workplace.

  • Homicide is the leading cause of death for women in the workplace.
  • Domestic violence victims lose nearly 8 Million days of paid work each year.
  • The cost of lost productivity and earnings due to domestic violence is approximately $1.8 Billion each year.

By sponsoring a billboard in your area, you would be sending a clear message that you want your employees to be safe.
The billboard would actually help make your own community a safer place to live and it would also send the message to your community that you support the end of domestic violence and you believe that all women should feel safe in their own homes.

If you decide to sponsor a billboard, please take a picture of the billboard and send it to us.
We will place the picture on our web site, with a brief description of your business and a link to your company's web site.

PLEASE NOTE:  We are placing Life's New Beginnings on these billboards in hopes that a victim, a friend or family member of a victim or an abuser will go to the website and get help.

TO ALL INDIVIDUALS, COMMUNITY GROUPS & ORGANIZATIONS

By sponsoring a billboard in your own community, you will help move us just one small step closer to ending violence against women and children.

What better way to let everyone know just what you stand for?

Over 4 Million women across these United States need your help.

Please take a photo of your billboard so we can publish it on our web site. We will also enter your name or organizational name and a brief narrative about how you became involved in the fight against domestic violence.

Stop Domestic Violence

This web site was designed for the sole purpose of providing information on the subject of domestic violence.  The web site was neither intended to provide professional advice on the subject of domestic violence nor should information contained herein be used in making personal decisions in your own particular situation (other than the decision to get help). There are many complex issues surrounding domestic violence which should only be addressed by professionals who are trained in this area. You are the only one who can get help in your situation.  There are those who care about you and are concerned for your safety, but their non-professional involvement could possibly make your circumstances worse.  Never let anyone talk you into doing anything that isn't right for you.
